Hello, my name is Alex, also known as "Uncle Alex," and I am the founder of Mile High Pet Sitters, LLC. Let me share a bit about myself:


My early exposure to pet care, combined with my genuine love for animals, inspired me to establish this company. I am truly grateful for my clients and their encouragement, which led me to follow my natural inclination or perhaps a divine calling. In 1999, I decided to leave the Big Apple and settle in Colorful Colorado, driven by my passion for the outdoors and its awe-inspiring beauty. Whether it's camping, whitewater rafting, fishing, mountain biking, exploring art galleries, cheering on the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche, or enjoying the local music scene, I find joy in all that this state has to offer.


At MHPS we prioritize delivering value to our clients, providing exceptional customer service, and nurturing lifelong relationships with them and their beloved pets. It's truly a blessing to do what I love and to share my compassion during your pets' best days, growing days, and even their last days. I specialize in senior pet care, ensuring that both you and your furry companions are fully satisfied.

    Pet Sitting Insurance Coverages

    Our pet sitting insurance policies covers the following areas:

    1.    General Liability Insurance: This is the coverage that protects us from third-party claims of bodily injury or property damage. For instance, if a pet sitter damages your property during assignment, releases you from a liability.  

    2.    Professional Liability Insurance: Also  as Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance, this protects us in case a client claims that we were negligent in our services, such as not administering a pet’s medication correctly, leading to the pet’s harm.

    3.    Care, Custody, and Control Coverage: It provides protection in case a pet is injured, lost, or even dies while under  our care. This coverage is specific to the pets we are looking after, ensuring that any medical expenses or other damages related to the pets are covered.

    4.    Animal Bailee Coverage: Similar to care, custody, and control, this coverage protects us when we have pets temporarily in our care, custody, or control. It covers damages or injuries to the animals themselves while they are in our care.

    5.    Property Damage Insurance: This coverage protects against damage to the property used in our business, such as a client’s home while pet sitting.
